Parade News - 2010

The 12th Annual Tartan Parade – Another Success! (April 11, 2010) Nearly 2,000 Scottish-American enthusiasts paraded up 6th Ave on Saturday. After a successful week of Tartan Week events, another great parade stepped off featuring pipe bands, pipers, drummers, clans, organizations and, of course the famous Westies and Scotties. The 12th Annual Tartan Parade – Special thanks from Dennis Hagerty, Parade Marshal The Parade Committee expresses its gratitude to the following organizations for their continued support and invaluable assistance, each of which is instrumental to making the parade the success it is: Mayor Bloomberg’s Office, The NYPD, NYC Department of Sanitation, The NYC Department of Transportation, Gray Line New York and Magnus Orr of Pipefest.
